The Derelicts are Slim Cheapo (guitar, harmonica, bass, percussion, vocals) and Shagawa Shorty (slide, guitar, mandolin, bass, vocals), with occasional help from Danielle “Dirty D” Olson (horns, percusion, bass, vocals). Their music flows from the intersection of blues, jazz, and folk music and comes from varied sources like Bessie Smith, Cab Calloway, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, and even some of Slim's originals. The Derelicts will have you dancing through the club and out into the street.
